Respuesta :

Answer:

A. The first 10 amendments to the Constitution.

Explanation:

The Bill of Rights lay down the foundation of rights that each individual would have.

It is important to note that the Bill of Rights was asked for by Anti-federalists as a bulwark against the eventual power grab of the federal government. In return for the ratification of the Constitution (which, while it stated general exceptions, it did not fully explain the general rights written in it). The Bill of Rights, therefore, gave specific provisions for individuals in which the government cannot disregard.

It can be noted of how each provision made in the Bill of Rights protect the natural rights of each individual, as well as each being unalienable rights that should not be impeded upon, which is questioned in today's society.

The 10 Amendments that are part of the Bill of Rights can be boiled down to certain points:

  1. Freedom of speech, religion, assembly, and petition to the government.
  2. Right to bear arms (own and use firearms).
  3. Banning quartering (See Quartering Act, which essentially asked colonists to house, free of charge, while providing provisions for quartered soldiers, for their "own protection".
  4. Protection of search and seizure if warrants are not applicable. Warrants must be justified.
  5. An individual's protection if they find themselves in the judicial system.
  6. Right to a fair trial, as well as the rights of suspected individuals.
  7. Right to a jury of peers.
  8. Protection against unusual/excessive punishment.
  9. Rights of individuals cannot be infringed upon.
  10. Power not delegated to the federal government is given to the states & people.
