What are structural constraints?
The diverse political, economic, social, and cultural elements that restrict an individual's capacity for decision-making are referred to as structural constraints in sociology.
These restrictions go against human agency, which is defined as an individual's ability to act autonomously and make any decision in a given situation. Over the course of time and with growth, maturation, and experiences, an individual's structural constraints always change.
Multiple limitations can have an impact on any part of development at any one time. This promotes the idea that everyone is unique which in turn assists in the creation and execution of learning tasks that are developmentally appropriate. Each person's structural constraints vary, typically in proportion. Functional restraints on an individual basis COULD also alter.
