1. 4/12 = 0.333... and 4/6 = 0.666.... so 4/6 would be greater than 4/12
2. 2/8 = 0.25 and 1/2 = 0.5.. so 1/2 would be greater than 0.25

TIP: To make it easier, the technique that I use to turn fractions into decimals, is to divide the numerator by the denominator. So if I want to turn 1/2 into a decimal, I just divide 1 by 2 to get 0.5.

4/12= 0.333333333
4/6= 0.666666666

Therefore, 4/12 is less than 4/6.
