Respuesta :

The Treaty of San Lorenzo, commonly known as Pinckney's Treaty, was an agreement between Spain and the United States that established favorable trade terms and fixed the southern border of the United States.

It was signed on October 27, 1795. Citizens of the United States were permitted to freely navigate the Mississippi River through Spanish territory. The pact gave Americans the right to temporarily store their products at New Orleans without paying any taxes.

Both sides promised to prevent Indians within their borders from attacking one another, and agreements were made on the freedom of the oceans. Thomas Pinckney represented the United States in the negotiations, and Manuel de Godoy represented Spain.
