One of the most effective leadership styles is democratic leadership. This is due to the fact that it enables employees at lower levels to exercise the authority they will need to use wisely in subsequent positions.

If a leader wanted to get better at communicating, what advice would you give them?

Be sincere and honest. Make your own statement; Avoid sounding like someone you are not or using corporate jargon. In your communication, let who you are, where you come from, and what you value come through. People want and respect authentic leadership, and they will follow it.

How will I continue to grow in order to become an effective leader and contributing member of the group?

Communicate clearly. Learn how you communicate best, and then learn how to communicate with people who are like you. Because effective communication requires you to convey compelling information that leads to more informed actions and decision-making, share important information and ideas.
