What is a narrative essay? In narrative writing, the writer tells a story using descriptive details in a logical order.

-Visual details or actions you noticed when the events occurred
-Sounds you remember hearing during the event
-Tastes or flavors you imagine or remember
-Smells/odors/fragrances you associate with the experience
-Feelings describing how you felt during the event
-Humor makes the reader laugh and helps describe how the writer felt about a real or imagined experience
-Use suspense to save the ending as a surprise for the reader
-Make comparisons to help explain how the people, places, actions, or feelings are similar to or different from something else more familiar
-Use similes and metaphors to make comparisons
-Through reflection, tell the reader what you've learned or how you presently feel about the event
-Talk directly to the reader to make your writing more personal

Choose from the topics below. You only need to write on ONE (1) of the topics!
-Sometimes it seems as though nothing goes right. Narrate a day in your life when everything seemed to go wrong.

I can't really answer this for you. I would love to write the essay for you but, I don't have time and this is your work. Here are some tips:

Gather the information that you'll need and then decide on how you want to start the essay. Say stuff like, If I was to be a nurse than.......or My grandfather has influenced me because.....

Then once you have your beginning paragraph, work on your body paragraphs, putting the least exciting information to most exciting information. Then wrap up your essay and conclude what you were talking about. Make sure you keep your readers attention. Hope this helps!

Answer:

A narrative essay is a story telling essay in which the narrator gives an account of an event or incident as an eye witness would do. Such a story narrated by the narrator may be fictional or imaginary (that is, made by the writer) or the story may be non-fictional (a real life story); an account of what really happened. Whether the story is real or imaginary, the narrator is expected to paint a mental picture of the event so that, the listener or reader sees it as if it is happening in his or her very presence whether the story is fictional or not.

Explanation:

1 THE TITLE OR HEADING.

The title of a narrative essay is the topic for the essay which summarises what the essay is all about. The title must be fashioned or formed from the set question. For instance, if the student is asked to narrate a story that proves the popular saying, ' Justice delayed, justice denied'.

From this question, the student is expected to fashion his or her answer like this:

JUSTICE DELAYED, JUSTICE DENIED.

The title of a narrative essay is normally not compulsory. However, the conclusion must reflect it.

2 INTRODUCTION.

Students are advised to make brief introductions relevant to their stories. However, students are warned not to use this space to explain an idiom, proveb , popular saying etc, set in the question.

3 THE CONTENT OR BODY.

The content contains the sequential presentation of events as they happened. The events are therefore, developed in paragraphs.

4 THE CONCLUSION.

The conclusion must reflect the set question (that is, the title). No name, address and signature of the writer are needed in the conclusion.
