Working part time for 16 hours in a week, a woman earns £34.20. How much will she get for 12 hours work?

1. 16/34.20=1/x
2. Cross multiply which will give you 16x=34.20
3. Divide 16 from both sides, and I assume you need to round up to the next tenth, which is x=2.14
4. Since that will give you how much she makes per hour, multiply x by 12
12*2.14=25.68
