He switched from a restrained Jackson Pollock-like line to a calligraphic structure. Jackson Pollock is best known for his Abstract Expressionist and action paintings.

American painter Paul Jackson Pollock was a key player in the abstract expressionist movement. He gained notoriety for his "drip technique," which he employed to paint his canvases from all sides by sprinkling or pouring liquid home paint over a horizontal surface. Since he covered the full canvas and painted with his entire body, frequently in a frantic dance way, it was also known as all-over painting and action painting. The critics of this extreme kind of abstraction were divided: some lauded the spontaneity of the production, while others mocked the random results. In 2016, it was claimed that a private buyer paid US$200 million for Pollock's painting Number 17A. Pollock, a solitary and erratic individual, battled alcoholism for the majority of his life. He married the artist Lee Krasner in 1945, and she had a significant impact on both his legacy and his career. At the age of 44, Pollock perished in a single-car collision while intoxicated. At the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City, Pollock had a memorial retrospective show in December 1956, four months after his passing. There was a larger, more thorough display of his art in 1967. His art was acknowledged with significant major exhibits at MoMA and The Tate in London in 1998 and 1999.
