The main goal of wrestling is to pin your opponent, which is done by briefly holding their shoulder blades to the mat. A pin commonly referred to as a "fall," terminates the game immediately. There are three main wrestling subgenres in the US. Greco-Roman wrestling, Folkstyle wrestling (also known as Collegiate wrestling), and Freestyle wrestling. Olympic-style wrestling also refers to Greco-Roman and freestyle matches.
