Theodora is remembered as one of the first rulers to recognize the rights of ladies, passing strict laws prohibiting visits by young women and modifying divorce laws to grant additional benefits to girls. She spent much of her reign trying to mitigate the legal guidelines towards the Miaphysites. They thought that worshiping icons became objects of worship, that was prohibited. The iconoclastic people who rejected the snapshots opposed the veneration of the icons for numerous reasons, including the long-standing ban on testimony towards photographs.
