Autonomic nervous system reaches a broader range of cells and impacts function in a greater number of areas within the body

The peripheral nervous system's autonomic nervous system controls physiological functions that are carried out automatically, such as digestion, blood pressure, respiration, and sexual desire. Has three  divisions in it: enteric, parasympathetic, and sympathetic. It is a section of the nervous system in charge of glands and the muscles of internal organs such the heart, blood vessels, lungs, stomach, and intestines, salivary glands and sweat glands.
