The disappearance of the chromosomes as they become dispersed and the partitioning of cytoplasm is telophase.
Telophase is the final stage of mitosis when chromosomes reach poles and the nuclear membranes of two new cells are formed. During metaphase, chromosomes align in the center of the cell. During anaphase, sister chromatids are separated and attracted to the ends of the cell.
At telophase, the nuclear envelope begins to reform around the split chromatids. In prophase, I replicated chromosomes condense homologous chromosomes pair crossovers between homologous chromosomes occur spindles form and the nuclear membrane breaks down into vesicles. During telophase the nuclear membrane reforms on the surface of the separated sister chromatids.
