Some individuals thought that flies and maggots evolved from decomposing organic waste a few hundred years ago. Because cells can only come from living cells, it is contradictory.
Redi put meat in two jars that were the same. He allowed flies to contact the meat in one jar by leaving it open. He used a cheesecloth or other material that allowed air to travel through to cover the other jar. The flesh was able to decompose when it came into contact with the air, just like any other food.
According to Francesco Redi's hypothesis, living things evolved from other living things rather than from non-living things. Redi showed how by covering the flesh, which prevented maggots from emerging.
