When copper(II)Bromide and sodium hydroxide react with each other ionic exchange take place between them.

When aqueous copper(II)Bromide and sodium hydroxide react with each other the ionic exchange take place between them.

Firstly the Sodium Hydroxide dissociates into sodium ion and hydroxide ion.

The copper(II)Bromide also dissociates into copper iron and Bromide ion.

The sodium ion gets attached with the Bromide ion and forms sodium Bromide the other hand copper iron attach with the Hydroxide ion in order to form copper hydroxide.

The balanced chemical equation of the reaction of copper Bromide and Sodium Hydroxide is,

CuBr₂(aq) + 2NaOH(aq) → Cu(OH)₂(s) + 2NaBr(aq)
