Papa fell and became the Earth, while Rangi rose up to become the sky above. Light flooded into the world that had been created between Rangi and Papa. The Maori individuals are the natives of New Zealand who, as different clans, have fantasies that are identified with the formation of the world and the production of man. As indicated by the Maori, at the outset, was vacancy, and nothing existed. This state is called 'Te Kore' by the Maori. Into that void, two Gods showed up: one male lord of the sky name Ranginui, or Rangi, and one female divine force of the earth, named Papatuanuku, or Papa.

The earth and the sky met up and produced six kids: Tawhiri, the divine force of climate; Rongo, the lord of yields; Tu, the lord of war; Tangaroa, the divine force of the ocean; Tane, the lord of the woods; and Haumia, the divine force of plants. As per the legend, the youngsters didn't have enough space to live on the grounds that their folks were near one another, subsequent with an end goal to isolate Rangi and Papa so they would have more space. They revolted and effectively isolated their folks when Tane cut the arms of their dad, Rangi with the goal that he couldn't hold their mom any longer. The kids were then ready to see the light and the sky out of the blue.
