Explanation:

Jewish Military Union (Zydowski Zwiazek Wojskowy, ZZW) was a military organization active in the  Warsaw Ghetto. It was organized by the Betar Zionist Youth  Movement and the Revisionist Zionist Movement.  The ZZW because of its ties to the Polish Home Army received arms from some  Polish officers.

The Jewish Fighting Organization (Zydowska Organizacja Bojowa, ZOB), Warsaw's major  Jewish underground organization was formed on July 28, 1942.

Both of these resistance organizations were formed to oppose German attempts to destroy the ghetto. The mass Jewish deportations from the ghetto by Germans resulted in the creation of several Jewish underground self-defense units two of which were ZOB and ZZW.
