and for y = |x| we have to change all the negative values for positive:

$\begin{gathered} -3\to\mleft|x\mright|=3 \\ -2\to|x|=2 \\ -1\to|x|=1 \\ 0\to|x|=0 \\ 1\to|x|=1 \\ 2\to|x|=2 \\ 3\to|x|=3 \end{gathered}$
