It says choose all the zeros for the following polynomial in factored form. I got numbers which were in decimal form for the answers and then in order to find what numbers represent zeros in this problem, I rounded up the decimal numbers which gave me the whole numbers I have selected. Am I right by doing so?

A function zero is a value of x that makes the function value 0.

In this case, we have:

$\begin{gathered} 5x=0 \\ \frac{5x}{5}=\frac{0}{5} \\ x=0 \end{gathered}$

and

$\begin{gathered} x-2=0 \\ x-2+2=0+2 \\ x=2 \end{gathered}$

and

$\begin{gathered} x+9=0 \\ x+9-9=0-9 \\ x=-9 \end{gathered}$

and

$\begin{gathered} x-7+7=0+7 \\ x=7 \end{gathered}$

So, the zeros are: x = 0, 2, -9, 7
