A linear equation has the form:

[tex]\begin{gathered} f(x_1,x_2,\ldots,x_n)=a_0+a_1x_1+a_2x_2+\cdots+a_nx_n \\ \text{where }a_0,a_1,a_2,\ldots,a_n\in\mathfrak{\Re } \end{gathered}[/tex]

So, the answer is false. The variables in linear equations could have only exponent 1, and could not multiply between them like x_1*x_2.
