A healthy environment depends on biogeochemical cycles maintaining a balance of input and output. Which two components would be out of balance in the water cycle if there were coastal flooding that resulted in accumulated debris and abnormally low salinity?

Respuesta :

If you mean the stages in the water cycle, it would be runoff and evaporation

Answer:

Evaporation and precipitation

Explanation:

The water cycle is the process of how the water continuously and cyclically moves around the earth both above and below its surface.

In this process, the water undergoes different processes such as:

1. Evaporation - it is the process in which the water rises from the surface of the earth due to exposure to the heat of the sun.

2. Condensation- it is the process in which the water cools down in the atmosphere which leads to the formation of clouds.

3. Precipitation - It is the process by which the water from the cloud falls onto the surface of the earth in the form of rain.

Through these three major processes, the water cycles through the earth and if there is coastal flooding then due to the presence of debris and salinity the precipitation and evaporation processes will be affected.
