Suppose a person has a small intestine that has a fewer villi than normal. would the person most likely be overweight or underweight? Explain

Respuesta :

Underweight. The villi of the small intestines are the small structures that do the absorbing of the nutrients, so if you have less, you're more likely to be malnourished. Lack of microvilli would decrease significantly surface area, hence, logically, decrease absorption. But if u eat tons of food, you'll still get fat. fat is absorbed at other siites like large intestines too.
