We will graph the equation using the intercepts of the line

the x-intercept is the value of x when y = 0

So, when y = 0

[tex]3x=15\rightarrow x=\frac{15}{3}=5[/tex]

The y-intercept is the value of y when x = 0

so, when x = 0

[tex]-5y=15\rightarrow y=\frac{15}{-5}=-3[/tex]

so, the line is passing through the points (5, 0) and ( 0, -3)
