Given equation:

[tex]4x+y=8[/tex]

In order to find equavalent equation of the given one , we have to divide or multiply any number to both sides of the equation

In this case , I'm multiplying the equaiton with 2

So, mutiplying each term with 2

[tex]\begin{gathered} (4x\times2)+(y\times2)=8\times2 \\ 8x+2y=16 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Hence, one equivalent equation of the given equation is

[tex]8x+2y=16[/tex]
