For x = -1 we have:

[tex]y=-2\cdot3^{-5}=-0.008[/tex]

For x = -8

[tex]y=-2\cdot3^{-8}=-0.0003[/tex]

For x = -10

[tex]y=-2\cdot3^{-10}=-0.00003[/tex]

If we continue giving values of "x" that are smaller and smaller we see that the value of the function tends to be 0, therefore, the horizontal asymtote for this function is y = 0.
