We have a system of equations:

[tex]\begin{cases}y=\text{ }{2x-1} \\ y={\text{ }x+3}\end{cases}[/tex]

We can solve it using substitution, then

[tex]\begin{gathered} y=2x-1 \\ y=x+3 \\ \\ 2x-1=x+3 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Now solve that last equation for x

[tex]\begin{gathered} 2x-1=x+3 \\ \\ x=4 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Now we have the value of x, which let's use to solve for y

[tex]\begin{gathered} y=x+3 \\ \\ y=4+3 \\ \\ y=7 \end{gathered}[/tex]

The solution of that system of equations are

[tex]S=(4,7)[/tex]
