Answer: C. Express unpopular views in a peaceful way.
Edwards v. South Carolina (1963) was a case in which the Supreme Court of the United States forbade state government officials to disperse a crowd when otherwise marching legally.
The ruling came after some African-American students peacefully assembled and marched in order to protest civil rights violations. The crowd did not engage in any violent conduct or violence. After being asked to disperse and refusing, the protesters were convicted of breach of the peace.
