https://youtu.be/gMEgfdZDI8MWhen do you think the parachutist experiences the greatest acceleration (Remember, acceleration could be speeding up or slowing down)? What made you come to your conclusion?Of the four events suggested, which one do you think had the least acceleration? Why?When do you think you experience the greatest acceleration during your day?

Respuesta :

Recall that acceleration is the rate of change of velocity.

The parachutist experiences the greatest acceleration when he opens up the parachute.

On the other hand, the least acceleration is when the parachutist was in the plane that is before the jump or when he attains the terminal velocity.

From Jumping to Landing:

When the parachutist first jumps from the plane, the acceleration is negative and after some time it is equal to the terminal velocity which basically means no acceleration. When the parachute is deployed, the parachutist experiences the greatest acceleration and it also changes between positive and negative for some time and eventually comes to 0 again. Finally, the acceleration also changes significantly when the parachutist lands.
