Not equivalent fraction
Because
[tex]\begin{gathered} \frac{6}{14\text{ }}\text{ = }\frac{3}{7} \\ \\ \sin ce\text{ }\frac{3}{7}\text{ }\ne\text{ }\frac{7}{3} \\ \frac{3}{7}\text{ is not equal to 7/3 , hence, the two fractions are not equivalent.} \end{gathered}[/tex]Equivalrnt fractions can be defined as fractions with different numerators and denominators that represent the same value.
For example
2/3 is equivalent to 6/9
Because 6/9 is the same as 2/3. If you divide both 6 and 9 by 3 the result will be 2/3
7/9 is equivalent ro 14/18 because if you divide both 14 and 18 by 2, you will get 7/9.
You divide by common factor of both numbers at numerator and denominator.
Or
You divide with their HCF, highest common factor.
