Use the Web Whiteboard (awwapp.com) to illustrate the replication cycle of a virus instead of a cell. Describe in words next to your drawing, what is happening. Download your illustration and upload it here.

Okay. We could define the stages of the viral as next:

1. The viral particle recognizes the host cell, then attaches to it.

2. The virus, linking the membrane cell proteins, gets in by endocytosis.

3. The viral particle' envelope gets lost due to denaturation, and the viral genome is released.

4. At this point, the mRNA synthesis begins, along with the viral transcription, and also with the synthesis of the structural proteins that will form the new viral particles.

5. At this point, the viral particles begin to assemble.

6. After this, the viral particles would be able to get out of the cell, lysing the cell membrane.
