Below is a diagram of antibiotics labeled as 1-4 and shown as black solid circles in a diagram that are being tested in a petri dish inoculated with bacteria. After a sufficient incubation period, bacterial growth occurred except in the zones of inhibition ( shown with black dashed circles in the diagram ) around the antibiotics.Which antibiotics show bacterial inhibition?

Below is a diagram of antibiotics labeled as 14 and shown as black solid circles in a diagram that are being tested in a petri dish inoculated with bacteria Aft class=

Respuesta :

The zone of inhibition is a uniformly circular zone or no bacterial growth around the antibiotic disk. It is an area of media where bacteria are unable to grow because of the presence of a drug that block their growth. The bigger this zone is, the further sensitive the bacteria is to the antibiotic. The smaller the zone is, the more resistant or less sensitive the bacteria is.

Answer - Antibiotics 1, 2, and 3
