Wayne is solving a system of linear equations.

y = −3/4x + 5
x = −2

To solve this system, he graphed the line y = −3/4x + 5y .

When Wayne graphs the line x = −2, at which point will he find the solution of this system of linear equations?

Respuesta :

If you use the property of substitution, you can get (-2, 6.5) as your answer. Substitute the value of X (-2) in the initial equation and solve for Y.

Y= -3/4 (-2) +5  ( I am sure you inadvertently put the Y here also)
Y= 6/4 + 5
Y = 6.5
