SOLUTION

Now we are comparing

[tex]\frac{9}{10},\frac{3}{4}[/tex]

To write them in the same denominator, we find the LCM of their denominator. That is we find the LCM of 10 and 4. This is

[tex]10\times4=40[/tex]

So we have

[tex]\begin{gathered} \frac{9}{10},\frac{3}{4} \\ 40\div10=4\text{ and 4 }\times9=36 \\ 40\div4=10\text{ and 10 }\times3=30 \\ we\text{ have } \\ =\frac{36\text{ and }30\text{ }}{40} \end{gathered}[/tex]

Hence

[tex]\frac{9}{10}=\frac{36}{40}[/tex]

and

[tex]\frac{3}{4}=\frac{30}{40}[/tex]

So we can see that

[tex]\frac{36}{40}>\frac{30}{40}[/tex]

Hence the answer is

[tex]\frac{9}{10}>\frac{3}{4}[/tex]
