Ultraviolet rays are more likely to give you a sunburn than visible light. What statement would be the best possible explanation for this?
A) Visible light cannot penetrate the skin.
B) Ultraviolet rays have a higher frequency and therefore has more energy.
C) Visible light has a broader range of frequencies and amounts of energy.
D) Ultraviolet rays have a longer wavelength and therefore has more energy.

Respuesta :

I think its B not sure tho

Answer: B) Ultraviolet rays have a higher frequency and therefore has more energy.

Ultraviolet rays is a spectrum of electromagnetic radiation. The wavelength of these rays range from 10nm to 400nm, the wavelength is shorter than the visible light but longer than X- rays. The higher frequency, high energy and short wavelength results in the increase in the penetration power of these rays. Therefore, these rays being invisible to human eye, cause sunburn to skin.
