Aerobic respiration and fermentation are two types of processes that supply the energy needs of the cell. In aerobic respiration, carbon dioxide (CO2), water (H2O), and energy known as the adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is produced with the presence of oxygen. On the other hand, fermentation produces energy without using oxygen.
In simple words, aerobic respiration requires oxygen to produce energy, and fermentation does not require oxygen.
