So as you go up in your x-values by one, the y-values go up by 3. So for example one coordinate would be: (1,3) then the next (2,6) and so on. Then to go to the negatives you go down by 3. So one coordinate would be: (-1,-3) then the next (-2,-6) and so on. I hope this helps!
You'd graph y=3x by starting from the origin (0,0) because you are not given a y-intercept.

From the origin, you'd go up 3 and to the right one, because you have the slope "3x".

3x becomes 3/1--> which you can follow rise over run with!
