hypotenuse = 38

base = x

so by using Pythagoras theorems

$x^2+32^2=38^2$$\begin{gathered} x^2=1444-1024 \\ x^2=420 \end{gathered}$

take root both side,

$x=20.49$

thus, the length of the shadow is 20.49 m
