For this case we can use the following formula:

$d=\sqrt[]{(y+18)^2+(10-3)^2}$

And d = 25 so we can replace and we got:

$25^2=(y+18)^2+49$$576=(y+18)^2$

taking square root we got:

$24=y+18$

y= 24-18 = 6

then the value of y is equal to 6
