I have a 3 1/3 foot long board how many 1/3 foot sections can I get from it ?

we have that

$3\frac{1}{3}=\frac{10}{3}$

so we have to divide 10/3 over 1/3. We get that

$\frac{\frac{10}{3}}{\frac{1}{3}}=\frac{10}{3}\cdot\frac{3}{1}=10$
