A line equation can be written in slope-intercept form, which is

[tex]y=mx+b[/tex]

Where m represents the slope and b the y-intercept.

For our line, we already know that the y-intercept happens at the point (0, 7), therefore, b = 7. Using this value for b and the the other point we have on this form, we can find the slope and construct our line equation.

[tex]\begin{gathered} y=mx+7 \\ (9)=m\cdot(1)+7 \\ 9=m+7 \\ 9-7=m \\ m=2 \end{gathered}[/tex]

With this, we have our line equation.

[tex]y=2x+7[/tex]
