Usin trig. ratio

To find ML

[tex]\cos \theta=\frac{adjacent}{\text{hypotenuse}}[/tex]

[tex]\cos 40=\frac{ML}{8}[/tex]

cross-multiply

ML = 8 cos 40

ML ≈6.1
