His theory on Dualism said that the body could operate independently of the soul but the contrary the soul send messages to the body whenever it wants to, on what to do and how to do. It paved a new path for Psychology because it inspired many philosophers to ask questions. According to Descartes, he believes on the existence of two realms. Physical and mental substance is either fundamental or derivative. He believed that human body is composite of both mind and body. According to the concept, dualism of mind and body represents the metaphysical view that mind and body are two distinct substances each with a unique essential nature.
