For this case we know that <1 and z2 are complementary and that means:
m<1 +m <2 =90º
From the figure we can see that :
m<1 +142=180º
m<1 = 180-142= 38º
Then we can find the value for m<2 on this way:
m<2 = 90 -38º= 52º
And finally since angle 2 and 3 are opposed by the vertex then we can conclude that:
m<3 = m<2 = 52º
