Question given
Ray XP is the angle bisector of Angle RXQ. Given the measure of Angle RXP 12x and Angle PXQ = 8x +12, What is the measure of Angle PXQ?
Solution
Since XP is the angle bisector of the angle RXQ then we can conclude that the angle RXP is equal to PXQ so we can do the following operation:
[tex]12x=8x+12[/tex]And we can solve for the value of x and we got:
[tex]4x=12[/tex][tex]x=\frac{12}{4}=3[/tex]And then we can solve for the value of the angle PXQ and we got:
[tex]\text{PXQ}=8(3)+12=36[/tex]
