The Greek term Logos, was used by the early scholars of public speaking to refer to reasoning.
Aristotle, had provided the ethics of public speaking, as he focused upon three things those should be applied during public speaking in appropriate ratios, as;
Reasoning (logos), Credentials (ethos), and emotions (pathos).
Many ancient art works had reflected the ethics or the ways of a attractive public speaking and its importance for the development of a co-operative society.
Aristotle had, taught his principles of public speaking in the schools, termed as, The Lyceum. After a certain period of time, the Greek knowledge and civilization had faded away and was adopted by Romans.
It is considered that, if any person had desires to join the court and the political system, it was important for them to have knowledge of public speaking or should be a good public speaker.
