Respuesta :

Option C. is best answer because it is the closest of our actual answer.

What is the area of a rectangle ?

Area of the rectangle is product of it's length and width.

According to the given question

The length of a rectangle is 4 units more than twice it's width

Assuming width to be x

∴ length(l) = 2x + 4

Area is 25 more than 4 times it's width

∴ Area = 4x + 25

We know area of a rectangle is the product of length and width.

(l×w) = 4x + 5

{(2x +4) × x} = 4x + 24

2x² + 4x = 4x + 24

2x² = 24

x² = 12

 x =± [tex]\sqrt{12}[/tex]

 x = ±[tex]\sqrt{2.2.3}[/tex]

 x = ± 2[tex]\sqrt{3}[/tex]

∴ Width is +2[tex]\sqrt{3}[/tex] because magnitude can not be negative.
