1) Patterns of trade, technology, foodstuffs, and livestock, changed and developed during the Columbian Exchange because the Spanish brought their goods and traded with the native Americans. Also they went back to Europe with higher calorific foodstuff like potatoes.

2)The Columbian Exchange resulted in population growth in Europe because  new crops from the Americas were introduced and led to Europe's economic shift towards capitalism.

3)  Europeans expanded their connections with Africa and the Middle East in the fifteenth century by launching catholic crusades to try to gain back the holy lands from Islamic regimes.

4) Early European encounters with West Africans influenced Europeans’ ideas about African peoples and reshape existing systems of slavery because the met already existing systems of government and they discovered that getting more slaves would be easier if they worked with the local chiefs.

5)  The encomienda system benefitted the Spanish in the New World because it provided an incentive for conquistadors to conquer new territories and to provide free labour to extract wealth from the colonies.
