Having good people to look up to is like being bathed in sunshine. An individual going through a tough patch in life might find solace in them. A role model is someone whom one aspires to imitate in terms of one's actions. They make concerted efforts to mold themselves like their hero's admirable characteristics.
Yet if one's own life is a terrible example, others may follow suit, leading to a life of crime for the individual in question.
This is further explained below.
What are role models?
Generally, Someone who is admirable enough to be imitated is called a role model. This may be a cherished instructor or a well-mannered superstar. In the same way that anything may be a model if it represents an aspirational ideal, a person can be a role model if they motivate others to replicate the positive behaviors that they exhibit.
In conclusion, Having positive role models in one's life is like having a beam of sunlight. They are a source of encouragement for a person who is struggling through a difficult time in his or her life. One person looks up to another and strives to model their behavior after that of the role model. They work hard to emulate the good qualities of their positive role model.
However, if a person's own life serves as a poor example, that person may develop poor or absurd living habits, which may eventually lead to a life of criminal activity.
