The New Jersey plan favored smaller populated states for representation.
The less populous states' alternative plan provided that each country turned into to have same illustration in the legislature, regardless of their population. This role reflected the notion that the states were independent entities and, as they entered the usa freely and for my part, remained so.
In the New Jersey Plan, the government would have one legislative house in which each state would have one vote. The New Jersey Plan was rejected, but it led to a compromise meant to balance the interests of small and large states.
