Classical antipsychotic drugs which produce side effects are resembling the Parkinson's disease.
Parkinson's disease is a progressive disorder mainly affecting the nervous system of our body. In this disease, certain neurons (nerve cells) which are responsible for producing dopamine (a chemical messenger produced in our brains), get gradually degenerated. This leads to decrease in the level of dopamine thus leading to the symptoms of Parkinson's disease.
The early symptoms of this disease are barely noticeable but may get worsen over time.
Most common symptoms include:
1. Tremors in one hand.
2. Muscle rigidity.
3. Impaired bodily movements.
4. Bradykinesia ( slow movements).
5. Soft and slurred speech.
6. Loss of automated movements.
