It is now a parliamentary democracy, which serves under a monarch who serves as the head of the state and constituted a Prime minister who serves as the head of the Government.
- The British Government serves as a Executory body, which had consents of the monarch along with devolved governments of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
- The British Parliament or The U.K. parliament serves as a legislative body, which has two chambers known as, The house of commons and the House of Lords, along with Welsh and Scottish parliaments.
They had a Westminster system of government or non-codified constitution which includes many elements like, conventions and statutes.
As, per their constitution the monarch do had some limitations upon it's powers along with parliamentary democracy,
